There is no doubt that there is no other running shoe within the most desired from the German brand than the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3. Not only because it is the model that almost all the elite athletes of the team sponsored by the brand wear (it seems that they do not have many other options) but also because of the expectations caused by technological changes that will not only allow us to scratch precious seconds per kilometer they also allow a "less slow" recovery than having competed with a "traditional" flying shoe. The price to pay (not only in the store and it's not exactly cheap) is having to get used to a new footprint with that massive midsole and the much-criticized little stability it confers.
Regarding its predecessor Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 2 there are quite a few changes and not only in the appearance more criticized as is the case of stability. The upper cut continues to rely on an evolution of Celermesh that stands out for its lightness and breathability but not for a fit that should be millimetric. The very thin tab is not sewn on either side but stays in place if you thread the laces through the central eyelets. The absence of a buttress in the heel to use is striking, replaced in this case by an outer band that provides a certain consistency to the whole.
The most interesting thing about the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 is in the midsole to no one's surprise. First of all, the rear part has been widened to offer greater stability, the drop has been slightly reduced and the EnergyRods have also been redesigned, which are now not just rods of carbon fiber but are part of a piece that starts at the heel. In addition to the above, the midsole presents certain cuts in the LightStrike Pro star compound that favor a faster transition. The sole has also been redesigned and although it maintains a collaboration with the prestigious Continentalâ„¢ tire manufacturer, it still gives the impression that durability is not its strong suit. Either way the traction and grip seem to live up to the hype. Let's go for a run.
