The Adidas Adizero Boston Boost 5 fills the gap between racing Adizero Adios Boost 2 and more cushioned Energy Boost 2 within Boost collection from the german brand.
Regarding its predecessor Adidas Adizero Boston 4 the biggest change is clearly the use of Boost™ foam along almost the whole midsole (EVA is still used in forefoot) that improve responsiveness with great cushioning while making the running shoe lighter.
Besides changes in the midsole, height to the ground has been slightlty reduced and outsole uses now a rubber coming from tyres manufacturer Continental™ which definitely improves grip even on wet surfaces. A new simpler and lighter breathable mesh is used in the upper.
As well as previous version and other models from the Three Stripes™ brand, the Boston Boost 5 includes Torsion® technology in the midfoot to improve adaptation to irregular grounds, leading to a more natural running.
