It can be said that the Brooks Transcend 7 is the outcome of the natural evolvement of the well known saga, minor improvements over the time here and there that result in a better running shoe. It is surprising the weight reduction for the premium model within pronation lineup, just a little bit heavier than its theorical smaller sibling Adrenaline GTS 20 and more and more far away from the Bedlam 2, a model which has hard times trying to get the attention from potential buyers it deserves.
It is indeed a more refined running shoe than its predecessor Transcend 6 featuring a modern and elegant upper which plays with thin fused stripes (3D Fit Print) around midfoot combined with oversized logo (similar to the one already seen in popular Launch 7) to provide overall consistency. In addition, OrthoLiteâ„¢ premium insole not only offers great comfort but also antibacterial treatment at the height of the quality and price of the running shoe.
Midsole from Transcend 7 includes an improved integration of the GuideRails® technology for enhanced pronation support. External side grows up vertically and internal one is now embedded instead of glued to the rest of the midsole so you can expect a better performance regarding stability. Midsole is made of DNA LOFT, same premium material the american brand uses in its counterpart for neutral runners Glycerin 17. Outsole is mostly the same but with minimum changes in flex grooves for smoother and quicker transition.
