Description

As typical second edition, the updated Saucony Guide ISO 2 consolidates most important features from first edition while introduces several changes to fine tuning the running shoe and improve overall quality. It is strange that one of its most interesting rivals with pronation support is the innovative Liberty ISO which also reduces drop down to 4 mm. One step above them within lineup from Saucony we can find the premium Hurricane ISO 4.

Although is no major change compared with its predecessor Guide ISO, there are several minor ones which could justify annual release and retail price rise. Upper has been upgraded to latest ISOFITβ„’ system development which is almost perfectly integrated with rest of components and fortunately far away from early editions of external and intrusive cages. New Jacquard engineered mesh includes several ventilation holes to improve breathability and is based on one used in flagship Triumph ISO 5 offering modern and functional design.

Midsole in Guide ISO 2 keeps the same configuration with EVERUNβ„’ layer on top of PWRFOAMβ„’ base to improve response combined with typical medial post solution for progressive pronation support. The innovation here is the adoption of the FORMFITβ„’ system which is based on contoured footbed and premium insole to enhance both performance and comfort. Outsole gets updated as well with almost the same design (TRI-FLEX rules in forefoot) used in its counterpart for neutral runners Ride ISO with the addition of some reinforcements through internal side to improve stability. There is no "Crystal rubber" available yet so there is no choice but continue using reliable iBR+ and XT-900 depending on the area for increased durability and wet grip.
