Description

The renewed Saucony Hurricane ISO 2 hits the market after the first wave (Guide 9 and Triumph ISO 2) with new EVERUN foam which promises more responsiveness and durability than well known EVA but it is still unknown how it performs without feedback from unbiased testers. It is not a secret that the Hurricane ISO 2 is not intended for speed sessions but definitely a great choice for daily workouts and long distances like half or full marathon for those runners with medium/severe overpronation.

The Hurricane ISO 2 keeps those innovative upper technologies applied to its predecessor the Hurricane ISO but goes one step beyond based on feedback from users. ISOFITâ„¢ system improves its design and cradles the midfoot for better follow the runner's foot in motion. The other major change in the upper takes place in the heel counter which slightly grows towards midfoot for enhanced consistency.

As well as in its counterpart for neutral runners the Triumph ISO 2, biggest change in the Hurricane ISO 2 takes place in the midsole where new full-length EVERUN layer has been added on top (just below sockliner) for improved responsiveness and increased cushioning. PWRGrid+â„¢ is still the main foam in the midsole combined with double density medial post to correct pronation while another EVERUN landing zone (only available in "premium" models) adds extra support for heel strikers. As a summary, cushioning is slightly firmer and more generous.

Outsole has been completely redesigned as well with new TRI-FLEX configuration for improved flexibility and smoother ride. It is made of softer rubber (IBR+) in the forefoot to enhance cushioning and responsive ride and more durable carbon one (XT-900) in more exposed areas.
