The new Saucony Peregrine 6 updates the lightest trail running shoe (compared to heavier Xodus 6) with latest technologies from the american brand like EVERUN, although just a heel insert (not full length). Peregrine 6 targets both neutral and mild pronation runners looking for a great balance between protection and lightness when running offroad. There is also a Gore-Texโข edition which provides waterproof features.
Major changes in Peregrine 6 compared to its predecessor Peregrine 5 take place in midsole and outsole. Midsole cushioning now includes mentioned EVERUN heel insert on top of SSL EVA for improved comfort and outsole has been completely reengineered. Now it features a more aggresive design plenty of 5 mm deep lugs made of new material PWRTRAC which promises great grip even on wet surfaces. In order to protect shoes from rocks and stone bruises without rigidity there is an External Bedrock Outsole (EBO) in the midfoot and a nylon fiber mesh rock plate in the forefoot. Midfoot's one also provides moderate pronation support.
Upper in Peregrine 6 is made of one layer breathable mesh with synthetic overlays (FlexFilmโข) featuring not only lightweight structure support but also modern and attractive design. Reinforced toe cap protects from external elements and gusset tongue prevents debris from jumping inside the shoe.
