The renovated Saucony Xodus ISO is not any longer the seventh edition of the fantastic trail saga but actually a new model from the american brand. In order to compete within vigorous top class trail shoes category the Xodus ISO is 10% lighter, with ISOFIT upper and EVERUN midsole (following other premium Saucony models like Triumph ISO 2) and latest outsole PWRTRAC replacing well known Vibram® one. There is also a waterproof edition available (FLEXSHELL taking over from industry standard Gore-Tex®) to protect feet under extreme weather conditions.
Upper is almost brand new compared to its predecessor Xodus 6 and it is dominated by ISOFIT system which cradles the midfoot for better follow the runner's foot in motion. Despite targeting neutral runners the Xodus ISO features good stability with specific support frame in the heel. Molded toe cap provides protection and durability while interior lining from both ankle collar and tongue are made of RunDry™ materials for great breathability and odour control resulting in optimal sanitation.
As one of Saucony's flagships, midsole in Xodus ISO features full-length EVERUN™ layer on top (just below sockliner) for improved responsiveness and increased cushioning. Outsole has been completely redesigned with TRI-FLEX concept (as seen in other models like popular Ride 9) in mind for improved flexibility and smoother ride. Saucony uses its own PWRTRAC rubber for enhanced grip even on wet surfaces.
